Social engagement in China
Shanghai, 6th July 2011 – Marquardt Switches in Shanghai (MSC) has a special gift in helping the poor, sick and weak people of their area. They have been called to such charitable projects before. Managing Director of Marquardt Switches Shanghai, Dr. Peter Schaumann, for example, was just recently at the Pu Guang Elementary School for migrant children in He Qing. The purpose of the visit was to motivate pupils between ages six and ten to attend school and to start preparing for the rest of their lives. The children were then surprised at the end with a bag full of school utensils and goodies. Another project provided nine patients of leukaemia with financial support with Dr. Schaumann paying a visit to two of them at home with their families. He encouraged them to remain strong and gave them hope to continue to fight for their futures.
