Dr. Harald Marquardt (59) studied Business Administration at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich after completing training to become a banker. After holding several positions at Osram GmbH – including that of Finance Director at the English subsidiary in London – he joined the Managing Board of Marquardt GmbH based in Rietheim-Weilheim in 1996 as a representative of the third generation. In 1997, he completed a PhD to become a doctor of economics and business administration (Dr. rer. pol.) at the University of Stuttgart. Since 2015 he has been serving as the CEO of the whole Marquardt Group.
Dr. Harald Marquardt is Deputy Chairman of the Board of Südwestmetall (the Association of the Metal and Electronics Industry in Baden-Württemberg) and Vice-President of the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CIC). Acting as a Treasurer he is Board Member of the German-Arab Friendship Association (DAFG) and a long-standing Board member of the Baden-Württemberg Center for Rationalization and Innovation of the German Economy.
After studying Mechatronics at Furtwangen University, Jochen Becker (48) began his career at Marquardt in 1998. He started out working as a graduate engineer in the device microswitches development segment. From 2006 onward, he was team leader in automotive switches and systems development. 2007 saw him join Marquardt Switches, Inc. – Marquardt’s North American subsidiary based in Cazenovia – as General Manager. Up until the end of 2016, he was responsible for the entire North America region as Vice-President. As Chief Operating Officer, Jochen Becker has been responsible for all of the company’s production operations since 2017.
Dr. Claus Bischoff (46) graduated from the Technical University (TU) in Munich and the Politecnico in Turin with a degree in Research and Development for Mechanical Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering. In 1999, he joined Robert Bosch GmbH as a graduate engineer and did his doctorate on a part-time basis in the field of mechatronics at the ETH Zurich / University of Rostock. For more than 15 years, he held management positions at Bosch in the Powertrain and E-Mobility business fields. He then assumed responsibility for engineering and a start-up innovation center at Magna Powertrain AG. In 2017, he moved to Continental AG as head of global development for hybrid and electric vehicle systems. In January 2019, he joined the Marquardt management board as Chief Technology Officer with responsibility for Sales, Development Project Management and Engineering Service.
