Man driving a vehicle.

Everything under control with the HV sensor

The new high voltage sensor (HV sensor) from Marquardt measures faster and more accurately than conventional sensors. It continuously checks and monitors for presence of an overvoltage or fault, battery condition, and insulation resistance between the battery and its attached components. Available for various applications including all-electric cars, hybrid vehicles and fuel cell drives, the HV sensor makes every battery management system complete.

    Ensuring safety in new mobility

Marquardt's experience and expertise as a systems supplier is evident in the features of this powerful high voltage sensor (HV Sensor). This includes a proprietary algorithm developed by our software specialists, created to ensure exceptional accuracy. Together with our customers and suppliers, we are taking the next step towards a new mobility that is better, safer and more sustainable.

    Faster, more accurate and safer

If the HV sensor measures an overvoltage, it reports it to the pyroswitch, which disconnects the system from the power supply within 5 milliseconds. The insulation resistance and state of charge of the battery are also measured continuously permanently and accurately. This ensures reliability and safety.

    High voltage for all drives

The HV sensor can be utilized in fully electric cars, in vehicles with hybrid engines or in fuel cell drives. Whatever the application, it fulfills all safety functions for classifications ASIL A to D. The sensor can also be combined into modules upon request.

    Individuality meets flexibility

Marquardt is shaping the future of e-mobility while also keeping in mind customer needs, including the need for cost-friendly solutions for each model. As the design of the HV sensor is scalable, it can be aligned to meet individual customer requirements.
